It’s Bucs vs Bucs for Delaware girls softball championship

The girls softball championship in Delaware will be played in Smyrna on Saturday.

The Milford High Bucaneers will play the Caravel High School Bucaneers Saturday for the Delaware state girls softball championship.

The game is a rematch of last year’s title game.  The two teams will square off at 11 AM at Smyrna High School.

To get to the final game, number 10 ranked Milford beat Smyrna 5-4 in 10 innings.  They scored 3 runs with 2 out in the top of the 10th.  It was their 3rd straight come from behind win.

Caravel defeated Polytech High School of Woodside 4-1 yesterday.  It is a record 12th time the Bear private school has been to the girl’s softball finals.  Caravel was ranked number one for tournament play.

Milford beat both the number 2 and number 3 tournament seeded teams on their way to final championship game.
