Early summer-like warmth is on tap for today throughout the Jersey Shore.

A developing westerly surface flow will pump warm air into the area, according to the National Weather Service.

Under sunny skies, temperatures will rise to around 80 degrees inland while remaining cooler in the 60s along the immediate coast.

As of 10:40 a.m., the coolest temperatures in the state (lower 60s) are in coastal Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Pleasant weather will persist through Sunday, but high temperatures will be cooler, with readings in the 50s along the immediate coast and around 60 inland.

A disturbance will then arrive late Sunday night. Forecasters expect periods of showers through Tuesday morning.
