Winter weather alert: use caution on the roads this morning

    Morning, Feed readers!

It’s not too bad out there if the roads have been salted where you live, but this cold drizzle is making for some icy conditions. Traffic in the area is a bit of a mess.

There are some school closings, and some flights are being cancelled out of PHL.

While tings seem okay with SEPTA for now, the website has posted this warning:

    • WHYY thanks our sponsors — become a WHYY sponsor

“Customers are reminded if the weather becomes too severe for regular operations of any route or line SEPTA do everything possible to provide one hour’s notice if service is going to be suspended. However, in the event of freezing rain it may not be possible wait to discontinue service due to rider and equipment safety concerns.”

Things will quiet down through midday today, just in time for the real trouble to start tonight.

We’re in a Winter Storm Watch until 10 a.m. tomorrow morning — so be careful out there and dress for cold, blustery weather!
