Human remains found at South Jersey home

Crews digging at a southern New Jersey home this week uncovered some human remains.

But Burlington County authorities say the remains found in Riverton appear to be very old, and there’s no suspicion of foul play.

The remains were uncovered Monday afternoon by workers who were digging in the rear yard of a Bank Avenue home where a swimming pool was being installed.

It’s not yet clear how long the remains may have been at the site. A forensic anthropologist with the state police was due to examine the remains Tuesday.
