Human Relations Commission releases report on school conflicts
Philadelphia’s Commission on Human Relations released today a report on conflicts in Philadelphia’s public schools.
“Widening the Circle of Our Concern” is based on hearings with teachers, students, parents and principals about integroup conflicts in schools, and includes the PCHR’s recommendations for the school district.
The year-long report, which WHYY’s Tom MacDonald will update us on later, includes eight findings and nine recommendations. Among the findings is that the school district is inconsistent in the way it prevents and resolves such conflicts.
