No decision yet on whether hockey coach accused of sex act will be detained until trial

A detention hearing is set for this afternoon for hockey coach Ivan Pravilov.

Pravilov, who counts former Philadelphia Flyers player Dainius Zubrus among his old students, is accused of placing his hand on the genitals of a boy he was driving from Delaware to Pennsylvania, and then threatened violence to prevent the story from spreading.

Update, 3:45 p.m. No decision has been made on whether Pravilov will spend his time awaiting trial in custody. The hearing has been continued until next week.

NewsWorks’ Aaron Mosell will have the full story for us on the Mt. Airy coach and the accusations against him.
