Ho Ho Hobbs

An eagle landed in Toys “R” Us yesterday, that is, a Philadelphia Eagle, reports David Gambacorta of the Philadelphia Daily News.

Ellis Hobbs, injured cornerback, swooped into the toy store Friday afternoon to give a helping hand to parents buying Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers for their kids.

Jennifer Santoro told the Daily News she was down to her last $100, when she was approached by Hobbs who offered to pay for her purchases.

Shocked by his generosity, Santoro told Hobbs, “Get the hell out of here. Why? Are you for real?”  She even asked for his I.D., Santoro told the Daily News.

But eventually Santoro accepted Hobbs proposition and said he continued to surprise customers by asking if he could foot the bill for their gifts.
