Strong thunderstorms hit Northwest Philadelphia

Strong thunderstorms and high winds whipped through Philadelphia today taking down trees and power lines. A Severe Thunderstorm warning expired at 6 p.m. but a high wind advisory is in effect till midnight. The National Weather Service says most of the winds will be in the 15-25 mph range but some gusts could top 45 mph.
