Updated: Heavy Hitta’s boxers return from Golden Gloves Tournament
Updated: The Heavy Hitta’s have returned from Pittsburgh with two awards. A slideshow from the tournament is below.
Rick Terrell sends us the following update on the Heavy Hitta’s boxers:
“We are competing in The 2011 Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament. The tournament began March 4th, we have won eight bouts against three very controversial losses. These wins have carried us over to each boxing round and currently we are scheduled to participate in the Golden Gloves State Championship, which will be held in Pittsburgh this Saturday April 9. We looked forward to bringing home more Gold!”

Recently, three of the Lawncrest-based group’s fighters returned from the Mid-Atlantic Boxing Tournament with trophies and medals, for which they were honored at the February meeting of the Lawncrest Community Association.
