Hazardous heat: National Weather Service issues heat advisory

It might be a good day to stay inside. Another hot day means a heat advisory has been issued for parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, beginning noon Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued the heat advisory for several area counties due to Tuesday’s hot and humid conditions, which for many will feel as if they’ve hit into the 100’s.

The advisory includes southeastern Pennsylvania, northern Delaware and central and southern New Jersey and will remain in effect through 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

The NWS says the heat can become hazardous for anyone who stays outside for an extended period of time.

If you have pets, it’s recommended you make sure they have access to shade.  The NWS also recommends checking in on elderly neighbors over the course of the day.
