Hart named president of University of Arizona

The Arizona Board of Regents today voted to approve Ann Weaver Hart as the University of Arizona’s 21st president.

Hart is leaving the same role at Temple University after a six-year tenure. She announced plans to leave last fall, explaining the need to be near family as part of her reason for moving on.

The gig in Arizona will accomplish that, and rather quickly. Her last day at Temple in June 30, and she begins at UA on July 1.
