Gloucester Township Council hesitates to support county police force

Camden has agreed to consider a role in the developing Camden County police force, but Gloucester Township Council right now looks like to side against it, as Cherry Hill has already done.

At a meeting last night, council members pledged support for the township police, with President Glen Bianchini vowing to look at “anything and everything” in terms of viable policing plans.

But as  Gloucester Township Patch reports, Council isn’t taking the county-wide department off the table just yet. They’ll remain open to discussion as the force takes form to determine what they think is best.
