Glenside Bike Night to benefit local fire companies

A group of Glenside business owners are making sure a popular local event continues, and this year, proceeds from the event are going right back into the community.

According to the Glenside News, the “Glenside Bike Night” will happen after the Greater Glenside Chamber of Commerce opted not to hold the annual “Cruzin’ Glenside Vehicle Show.”

This year, a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit local fire companies.

The Glenside News reports the Greater Glenside Chamber of Commerce decided not to present the annual “Gruzin’ Glenside Vehicle Show” due to construction on Easton Road.

This year’s event, which is also sponsored by the group of business owners, is all part of the newly formed Downtown Glenside Community Partnership.

The bike night is scheduled for August 6 from 4 to 9:00 p.m. on Easton Road, between Waverly Road and Mt. Carmel Avenue.
