Glen Urquhart declares victory in Delaware GOP congressional race

Michele Rollins will have more to say on Wednesday

Glen Urquhart, the republican candidate who started out by making fun of the pronunciation of his name is now the party’s nominee for Congress.

Urquhart beat businesswoman Michele Rollins by 557 votes.  He will now face former democratic Lt. Governor John Carney in the November 2nd general election.

Urquhart sounded a conservative theme throughout his campaign.  He hit on the themes of the growing national debt, the bank bailouts, and the need for jobs when addressing his supporters at the Sheraton Hotel in Dover.

Michele Rollins did not conceed defeat.  She said she would address the situation on Wedesday.
