Girl, 16, faces drug, DWI charges following serious Cape May County crash

A teenager is facing charges after a crash with injuries last weekend in Cape May County, police said.

Middle Township Police Department officers responded to a crash shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Stagecoach Road in the Cape May Court House section of the municipality, according to a news release.

Arriving officers discovered a white Nissan Altima that had run off the roadway and struck a tree. Firefighters extricated the driver and passenger, both 16-year-old females, from the vehicle, police said.

Both were flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
