Germantown gallery show gathers local community
Photographer Tieshka Smith has been taking photographs of Germantown for two years, documenting the changes in the area, but only now is her work being displayed.
The Imperfect Gallery, a new community gallery located on Greene St near Chelten Ave, will be showing Smith’s photographs of the Germantown neighborhood and children through Aug. 3.
Smith’s exhibit explores the Germantown area and tries to answer her overall question, “”What’s in the character of this neighborhood that compels people to stay and grow roots here?”
