Gay priest finds new teaching role at the University of Pennsylvania

    The Rev. Jim St. George is back at the podium. After controversy surrounding his homosexuality led to the Old Catholic Apostolic Church of America’s priest contract termination from Chestnut Hill College, he’s found a haven at the University of Pennsylvania.
    The Daily News reports St. George was elevated to monsignor status Sunday, and is co-teaching at Penn a class about religion, social justice and urban development alongside an urban studies professor.
