    Steven Goldstein led dozens of members of the Garden State Equality group in a state house rally in support of gay marriage. He says Democrats risk losing the support of gays unless the bill is enacted.

    Assembly Speaker Joe Roberts says the same sex marriage bill will not advance in this legislative session until he’s convinced there are enough votes for passage. Democrat Governor Corzine says he would sign the measure but Republican Governor-elect Chris Christie has said he would veto the legislation.
