Gas prices on the rise in New Jersey

Drivers in the Garden State will have to dig a little bit deeper when filling up at the pump.

The Associated Press reports that the price of regular gas rose 11 cents from last week, bringing the state’s average cost to $3.46 on Friday. Prices are still cheaper than they were just a year ago when a gallon of regular cost $3.66.

This is the third straight week that gas prices in New Jersey have risen. Analysts say the higher prices are due to rising crude oil prices.
