Gas leaks and water main breaks keep crews busy

Is this what the apocalypse looks like? The Philadelphia Water Department is is West Philly at yet another water main break. And Collegeville residents spent the morning out in the cold while crews investigated a gas leak.

Action News reports a 20-inch main break is causing severe flooding at 38th Street and Woodland Walk. The gas leak turned out to be nothing too major.

These reports mark the sixth water main break (large enough to warrant apocalypse-like coverage) in two months, and the fourth gas-related evacuation in less than a month.
