Gambling expansion: Tropicana adds gambling to shopping area in Atlantic City

The Tropicana Casino and Resort is adding gambling to areas that are across the street from its casino.

Fox 29 reports the Tropicana is adding gambling to The Quarter, its shopping and dining area.

According to the report, Tropicana president Tony Rodio said it would be the first time in Atlantic City’s history that gambling would be allowed on the other side of Pacific Avenue.

Fox 29 says the casino received approval Friday from the state Division of Gambling Enforcement for a pilot program with slot machines and electronic table games.
