Four public hearings scheduled on post-Irene energy response in New Jersey

    If you live in New Jersey and use electricity, you might have an interest in some upcoming public hearings about electrical distribution companies’ response during the days and weeks following Hurricane Irene.

    Four public comments meetings have been scheduled by the state Board of Public Utilities, and the first is tonight at the Rutgers EcoComplex in Bordentown.
