Former West Chester theater to become hotel

The hotel coming to 120 N. High St. in West Chester will preserve some of the architecture of what used to be the Warner Theater, but that likely doesn’t include the cushy seats and popcorn maker.

Parts of the 1930s structure will be preserved, but what will be the 76-room hotel will also have a fitness center, pool and meeting space, as the Philadelphia Business Journal reports.

Groundbreaking is set for tomorrow on the Centerstone hotel, and opening is slated for May 2012.
