Former Valley Forge Military Academy staffer charged with unlawful contact with a minor

A former guidance director at Valley Forge Military Academy is expected to turn herself in after Radnor police charged her with having unlawful contact with a minor.

The Inquirer reports an arrest warrant has been issued for Symantha Hicks, who is also accused of selling alcohol to minors. Hicks was fired last month after the school investigated claims of inappropriate contact with two cadets.
Update, 2 p.m. The Delaware County Times reports Hicks, 30, stands accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student and providing alcohol to two 17-year-olds in an early December incident. She’s expected to waive her preliminary hearing.
