Former Aramark executive tapped to help improve Atlantic City’s image

Atlantic City has a bit of an image problem, and the woman who’s been tapped to fix it will be announced today.

Liza Cartmell is a former Aramark executive and will now be charged with leading the marketing arm of New Jersey’s Casino Reinvestment and Development Authority.

The Press of Atlantic City reports Cartmell focused on things like amphitheaters, convention centers, state parks while at Aramark, so the A.C. casinos shouldn’t be too much of a stretch. At the CRDA, most of Cartmell’s energy will be directed at features already in place that just need some more attention.

The Haddonfield resident’s position will be formally announced today.
