Firefighter’s parents defend calendar pose

Things are heating up in the Philadelphia Fire Department. After firefighter Jack Slivinski was reassigned for posing shirtless for a firefighters calendar, his parents stopped by the Equality Forum’s Sunday Out event yesterday to plead his case.

Commission Lloyd Ayers said firefighters should be promoting safety, not sex, and is considering disciplinary action against Slivinsky, who said he’d donate the calendar proceeds to charity.

NewsWorks partner Philadelphia Weekly talked to Mr. and Mrs. Slivinsky, who imply Ayers is a hypocrite. Why? Just a little video of Ayers in his uniform promoting Black and Nobel, which sells erotic novels.

Feed the Feed: Is there anything wrong with Slivinsky’s calendar pose of Ayer’s video testimonial?
