Firefighter injured in 3-story building fire in West Oak Lane

    A firefighter was injured this morning in Philadelphia’s West Oak Lane neighborhood as crews battled a 3-story fire.

    WPVI-TV reports the fire sparked around 7:00 a.m. inside of an auto body shop.  Firefighters say apartments sit above the auto body shop.

    Firefighters report flames and heavy smoke from the first floor of the building when they arrived.

    WPVI-TV reports one firefighter was taken to a nearby hospital and is now listed in stable condition.  It’s unclear how the firefighter was injured.
