Fire truck stolen from Atlantic City casino rescue scene

Firefighters from Atlantic City’s Engine 7 were called to the Tropicana Hotel and Casino to rescue several people trapped in an elevator at around 4 a.m. this morning.

It took the rescue workers about 20 minutes to free the patrons.

During that time, an unidentified person jumped into the truck that was parked outside and drove it about a block away before leaving it unattended, reports ABC6.

The fire truck was recovered undamaged. Police continue to investigate.
