Scooch over, Terry Gross

My goal since starting this blogging gig for NewsWorks has been to get a good story on the radio.

That hasn’t happened yet. But maybe, hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, soon.

The other day I spent some time in a WHYY studio (with headphones and a mic and everything!) recording a conversation with Colwin Williams, the ex-con I’ve been writing about since April.

If you’ve missed my blog posts, read here, here, here, here, and here.

Considering Williams did most of the talking, he was surprisingly calm. Me, I thought I was going to hurl. And so goes any dream of being the next Terry Gross. As if.

Anyway, wish me luck. And a big thanks to Jeanette Woods, NewsWorks community media editor and my personal sound guru.
