Federal charges for man whose Jeep crashed through Philly airport gate

The U.S. Attorney’s office has filed charges against the Chadds Ford man accused of crashing his Jeep through a locked gate at Philadelphia International Airport.

Kenneth Richard Mazik, 24, is charged with disrupting services at PHL on March 1 and endangering airport safety. An approaching airplane was placed in a holding pattern as Mazik allegedly drove around a runway and led police in a pursuit.

If convicted, Mazik faces up to 20 years in prison, $250,00 in fines and three years of supervised release.
