FBI: Kidnap suspect’s laptop searched on rape, DNA
The final witnesses are testifying in the trial of a woman charged with taking a 5-year-old girl from her Philadelphia school and sexually assaulting her.
Testimony is set to conclude Tuesday in 21-year-old Christina Regusters’ three-week trial.
An FBI expert testified Monday that Regusters’ computer had been searched for information about rape, DNA evidence and Muslim clothing.
FBI computer expert Michael Moore also said a news picture of the victim was stored on the laptop.
On cross-examination, Moore acknowledged the pink laptop was not password protected and other household members could have used it.
Prosecutors said Regusters donned a Muslim dress and veil to pose as the girl’s mother at school.
The victim told jurors she was bathed while held captive and blindfolded
