Eye on corruption

Federal prosecutors say Pennsylvania state Sen. Ray Musto has been charged by a federal grand jury with taking bribes and kickbacks.

Prosecutors said today that Musto is charged with a count each of wire fraud and mail fraud, and two counts each of bribery and making false statements to FBI agents.

Musto, a longtime Luzerne County Democrat, is retiring next week from the Legislature he first joined in 1971.
