Event organized by high school senior raises $4,000 for cancer research

It was no ordinary high school senior project for a Henderson High School student of Chester County.

The Daily Local News reports the first Heart + Soul 5K run or walk Saturday raised $4,000 for cancer research.

The event was organized by high school senior Dominic Smith as part of a senior class project.  The Chester County Hospital, which will receive the proceeds, also assisted with planning the event.

This isn’t the first major event in the area organized by a high school student.
