ER expansion

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children revealed today its expanded emergency room. The $3 million project added 4,300 square feet.

The ER has seen patient visits grow by 20,000 over the last six year, prompting the need for the 14 new private exam rooms and two rooms set aside for victims of child abuse and sexual assault.

More doctors will be coming on to fill the added space, the Inquirer reports.
