Electrical explosion pops manhole cover in Center City

    The 2200 and 2300 blocks of Lombard Street in Center City Philadelphia are shut down as PECO crews work to repair a transformer that exploded underground this morning and sent a manhole cover flying, Action News 6 reports.

    Firefighters extinguished the fire quickly, and no injuries are reported.
