Education advocates flooding Harrisburg to protest budget cuts

Yesterday it was Temple. Today it’s Harrisburg. The Associated Press reports students and education advocates are flooding the Capitol to protest Pa. Gov. Tom Corbett’s proposed cuts to schools.

Hundreds gathered outside Temple yesterday, and today’s rallies by students from Philadelphia public schools, Penn State and Pitt are just more in a series protesting the cuts.

An announcement yesterday suggests while there will still be cuts to education, they could be eased with cuts to welfare programs.
