Ed Snider will be inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame

Ed Snider may be a Washington, D.C., native, but he’s a Philadelphia hockey legend.

And the Comcast-Spectacor will be honored for that come October, when he’s inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame. Snider and former Flyers broadcaster Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick will be the eighth and ninth Flyers name to make the list, according to Philly Sports Daily.

Snider started the Flyers in 1967 and helped push the construction of the Spectrum. He’s been in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto since 1988.
