Easton dad charged for ignoring son’s dental needs

Anyone who fears the dentist should just stop reading now. Because when an Easton, Pa., man ignored his son’s pleas to take him to a dentist, the teenager took teeth-pulling matters into his own hands.

Francisco Torres has been charged with child endangerment, the Associated Press reports, for refusing to take his 14-year-old to the dentist, despite having proper insurance.

The teenager pulled two of his teeth with pliers to relieve persistent pain, but needed emergency surgery to remove shards of his teeth and repair his gums. Torres was arraigned Tuesday on the charges for the February incident, and was released on bail.
