Early morning 3-alarm warehouse fire under control in North Philly

    Fire crews have managed to gain control of a three-alarm fire in a vacant warehouse in north Philadelphia. No injuries have been reported.

    Crews were called to the scene shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday and found heavy flames and smoke rising from the structure.

    WPVI-TV says officials reported several small explosions from propane tanks and called in hazardous materials crews to investigate.

    Some neighboring residents were evacuated as a precaution.Fire officials say the blaze was reported under control just after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

    Authorities said they had no immediate information about what might have started the blaze.
