DVRPC approves 14 trail projects and millions in spending

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission Board was approving things left and right yesterday.

Four early action projects and 14 trail projects passed muster at the board meeting, PlanPhilly reports, ushering in changes to Pennsylvania and New Jerseys trail system.

The projects are the first in three phases part of a $10 million William Penn Foundation grant, with $4.5 million set aside set aside for the 14 trails. You can expect to see improvements all over the region, including Grays Ferry Avenue at the Schuylkill River and Penn Street at the Delaware River.

Something else to look out for: a study of the Norristown Transportation Center to improve access there.
