Drugs suspected in Cabrini College student’s death

Authorities say drugs are suspected in the death of a college student whose body was found in a suburban Philadelphia home.

Police in West Conshohocken said the 22-year-old man was found unresponsive on a couch in the living room of the home. Officers administered CPR and a drug used to treat overdoses, but they and emergency medical personnel were unable to revive the victim.

The Montgomery County coroner’s office is scheduled to perform an autopsy on the victim, who was a Cabrini College student. His name was not released. Police said they suspect a drug overdose killed him.

College officials issued a statement that they are “saddened” by the news and “our thoughts are with the student’s family as we focus on supporting our community through this loss.”
