Drexel breaks ground tonight on $97.6 million development

Except some construction noises and obstructions around Drexel for the next year or so.

The university and American Campus Communities will break ground this evening on the Chestnut Square development on Chestnut Street between 32nd and 33rd.
By September 2013, there will be two eight-story buildings facing Chestnut that back up to the adjacent Cresse Student Center corridor, and a 19-story building for retail and student living space.

The project will cost $97.6 million.
