DRBA will take bids for Cape May-Lewes Ferry retail operation vendor

The Delaware River and Bay Authority is in the transportation business. It operates the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, Delaware Memorial Bridge, Three Forts Ferry and a handful of regional airports.

But it wants out of the food and retail business.

The authority is looking for bids on the food, beverage and retails operations associated with the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, Today’s Sunbeam reports.

By next spring, the DRBA would like to have a hospitality partner running those operations for the many tourists that use the ferry to travel between Delaware and the Jersey Shore.

Submissions are due by May 31.
