Doylestown Borough Council to discuss whether to continue first Friday

Doylestown Borough Council will meet next month to discuss First Friday, an event not everyone in town supports.Though the concept of keeping business open later on Fridays appeals to most residents, the extra litter and noise the event generates doesn’t.
Some residents are tired of the mini monthly block parties, during which time the borough closes some streets and event participants circulate fliers and post banners promoting the occasion.Patch reports a petition with 75 signatures will be presented to the Borough Council seeking to suspend First Fridays.
