Downtown Royersford business owners upset over bridge closing

Some business owners in downtown Royersford are voicing their concerns over the closing of a bridge that connects the borough to Spring City.

According to a report from the West Chester Daily Local, dozens of merchants got the news Monday afternoon during a meeting organized by the Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association.

The report cites the need for repairs and advanced deterioration as the reasons for the bridge closure, which is expected to last for eight weeks.

One business owner called the closure a “very big inconvenience,” saying it was going to hurt business.
