Dover man found shot in alley

52-year-old Anthony Wallace was found in a Dover alley Thursday night with one bullet wound to the upper chest. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Dover Police were called to the alley betwee Mitscher Road and Spruance Road around 10:45 p.m. Thursday for reports of an unresponsive person. When they arrived, they found Wallace lying in the alley. They called EMS who discovered Wallace had been shot once in the upper torso.
He was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.
Police didn’t provide any information about possible suspects or motive. They say the investigation is ongoing.
