Dover Air Force Base conducts accident response exercise

Dover Air Force Base will test its ability to respond to an emergency during a three-day exercise this week.

The 436th Airlift Wing exercise will involve all base personnel, local law enforcement and emergency management teams.  Normal base operations and services will be affected during the exercise, which begins today and lasts through Wednesday.  Closures and delays can be expected at DAFB entry points, and operations at the base exchange, commissary, pharmacy, medical clinic and other units will also be affected.  The exercise is designed to test the 436th’s ability to respond to a major accident.
