Donna Reed Miller calls hearing on ex-felon challenges

Eighth District councilwoman Donna Reed Miller plans to hold a committee hearing to highlight the problems ex-felons face after leaving prison.

On Wednesday, Feb, 23 at 2:00 p.m. in Council Chambers (room 400), Councilwoman Miller will hear testimony from ex-offenders about the problems they are facing getting jobs, finding housing and accessing health care.

Michael Quintero-Moore, the director of communications for councilwoman Miller, said the reason she called the hearing was because it’s a major issue in her district and in other parts of the city.
