Nicole Wilson is a law enforcement case manager for the Pa. SPCA.

Wilson: There are some dogs that have old scarring up to the point where you have one dog that needs surgery for wounds from a fight that occurred recently.  I would say it was in the last few weeks.  The dog has abscessed wounds around his face and neck area – very consistent that that you would see from fighting.

Wilson says two people who lived at the house will face felony dog-fighting charges.

She says the ring could be part of a larger ring in north Philadelphia, and the Pa. SPCA’s investigation is ongoing.
