Dispute over Northwest addiction recovery center lingers

    There are two sides to every story. One is that of a recovering addict doing her best to improve her life. The other is of a 76-year-old woman who doesn’t know what to expect out of the recovering addicts hanging around her neighborhood.

    As Maragret Lenzi reports for NewsWorks, the debate over Northwestern Human Services’ Germantown Parkside Recovery Program continues, though there’s little communication between the Parkside clients and Germantown residents. A Community Advisory Committee meeting next month could be the beginning of united community.
